The 14th Vans "Rumble in the Park" skate contest took place during June 2018 in Austria and once again set the standards in amazing skateboarding skills (despite a short period of bad weather!).
The level of the riders that took part on the day whether they were professional or amateur was incredible. The crowd of all ages were constantly kept entertained - with the youngest starter being 12 years old and the eldest being 37.
The Full Pull Truck, Vans waffle stand and the "GEI" bar blasting out the sound of DJ Kompact provided the legendary "rumble flair”.

Olympic hope Santino Exenberger took part in the event and showcased everything he had and achieved 1st place in the Street competition and 2nd place in the Bowl competition.
Professional skater Marco Kada dominated the Best Trick competition and landed 3 best tricks on the mighty gap. A young up-and-coming talented rider from Salzburg, Lorenz Schneider, showed everyone his amazing skills and claimed the ceramic trophy by demonstrating high airs and super stylish tricks!
The local riders also gave everything they had, in particular Thomas Aitzetmüller, who reached 3rd place in the street competition.

This year Vice Mayor Wolfgang Schleier presented the trophies and was overwhelmed by the impressive performance of the riders, especially in the Best Trick competition. The level of all riders who took part were extremely high and it wasn’t an easy decision for the judges when they had to deliberate the winners.
After the award ceremony ended there was an afterparty which took place at GEI in Timelkam, where DJ Phekt, DJ Kompact and Mountain Top performed - which was the perfect ending to a spectacular day.
Thank you to all the volunteers, riders and spectators who attended this awesome event, and we are looking forward to next year's rumble!
